We're Thankful for You

In lieu of a traditional blog post, we’ve decided to stop in and express our gratitude to all who we’ve come into contact with through our work in the ophthalmic industry.

Our priorities get out of alignment from time to time, and even as we’re spending time with our loved ones this holiday season, thankfulness will inevitably give way to consumerism and getting caught up in “what’s next” (but hey, if you’re getting up at 3:30 in the morning on Black Friday to get a great deal, no judgment from us!).

Thanksgiving may put a name and a season to an act that ought to be practiced daily, but it would be remiss of us to not take some time and reflect on how blessed we are and how thankful we are for all who have entered our story in some way or another...so we feel that a little thanks is in order:

First, we’re thankful for our clients. We at Messenger have had the privilege of serving and connecting with some of the best ophthalmologists in the world, servants who daily pour out their lives to dramatically improve the lives of others...and we consider it an absolutely joy to work with them. Just as ophthalmologists love helping restore sight to others, we love helping them tell their stories and enable them to help even more people. So, to our clients, thank you for choosing to work with us. Thank you for allowing us to help you help others, and thank you for trusting your story to us. We’re incredibly grateful.

We’re thankful for our followers. Not just because they read this blog or follow us on social media, but because they have invited us into their lives and given us a chance to share a part of our lives with them. It’s a blessing to be able to communicate and engage in meaningful conversations with like-minded people from all over the world, and for that we are thankful. So thank you to all friends, followers, and connections - we love sharing with you.

We’re thankful for this industry. Not just because it’s how we make our living, but because the ophthalmic industry does so much good – day in and day out, ophthalmologists and medical device companies spend themselves helping those who are experiencing vision loss. We’re thankful for a friendly and cooperative industry that encourages collaboration, innovation, and camaraderie among all those fortunate enough to work in it. So if you work in this wonderful field we call ophthalmology, we’re thankful for you. We’re thankful for the work you do to restore vision. We’re thankful for the research you conduct to advance and innovate. And we’re thankful for the ideas you share that spur us all on to become better at what we do.

So all that is to say – we’re incredibly thankful.

From the Messenger family to yours, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
